GRACE TAIT SHELTER PROJECTS:

PURCHASING LAND:

We need an additional $43,000 to  to complete the purchase a property in the middle of Bamenda. We now have raised $28,574.38 $14,425.62to go.

BUILDING:

We need $50,000 to build the main building on a piece of property we are purchasing. We've raised $115, $49,885 to go. This will provide a safe, loving home for our children and staff.

truck.jpg

Our GTS truck is aging and in need of repairs. We need $1500 to get it in good working order.

$500 is needed for a new breeding pair of pigs.

They are in need of “fresh” breeding stock.

Moringa, mango, guava, papaya, banana, avocado and other fruit trees could be planted on the new orphanage properties . For $100 you could provide a healthy source of vitamins/nutrients for many years.

Several of our older children have started higher education or apprenticeship programs. This is such a blessing, but it has more than doubled the cost of providing an education for all of our children. We are so grateful that all of our children are still able to attend school and further their education in spite of the civil war. Please consider partnering with us towards this. Our annual cost of education at the moment is $11,000. We have $4500 towards this with $6500 needed by March 2025. Any gift towards this goes a long way in helping meet this need. Thank you!

MORE GRACE TAIT SHELTER PROJECTS

container.jpg

We have been blessed with a grant to dig two wells on our new property, but we will need several containers to store water. Each container is $300 and another $150 for piping and $500 to build a strong tower to set them on.  We would like to put 4 containers up.

We were given a lot of construction equipment. A huge blessing... but much of it wasn't well kept. So we need to repair some before we can use it. There is a brick making machine and bobcat we can use when we purchase the land, but we can also use to make money. We need around $750 to get the machines serviced and running good again.

PROJECTS FOR US PERSONALLY:

We are in need of some major repairs to our vehicle. We need $1500 to do body work (patching holes in the floor) and repaint etc... It's taken a beating over the years, but has been the best vehicle we've had

Another need we have is for piping and some cement to put in a public tap near our home. We went without water for 6 months and want to tap into a water different system. Our current water company is waiting for a water project being done by "the Chinese" so the water has not been consistent. It is a 3 year project and they are only 1 year into it. While the rainy season is going water isn't as much of a problem, but during the dry season its often not flowing and the people in this quarter will struggle to get good potable water. We need $500 to bring water from a nearby area and build a tap. Why won't the water company do this? Good question....because it's Africa and no one else is complaining so they can get away with i
