Social Affairs brought her to GTS when they discovered her living on the streets. She had been living with her grandmother, but the conditions were so bad that she ran away. She has adjusted to being part of the GTS family and is doing well in school. She is eating 3 meals a day (something she never did until she came to live with us).
ANNA LINDA AKISSA

She lives at GTS with her twin siblings Larry and Larissa. their mother died of breast cancer just one year after the twins were born. their father became helpless because he had sold all of their properties to pay for medical expenses during his wife's illness. Anna stopped going to school because there was no money for it. She is attending the university for Animal Husbandry. Pray that the Lord will continue to guide her through school and help her to grow in wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
BLESSING NGUM

Blessing and her sister Mercy Lum live at GTS. Both of their parents have died. They used to live with their grandmother, who is old and was not able to care for their needs. While with their grandmother the girls were unable to attend school. She is now doing well in school. English is her favorite subject. She is a very active, intelligent, bold and outspoken girl. Our prayer is that she will continue to do well in school and that she will be a light (of God's love) to her friends at school.

He and his older brother Micah came to live with us shortly after their father died. Their mother, being recently widowed, was struggling to feed the children and there was no money for schooling. The fathers family refused to help the mother or children and the mothers family refused to allow them to return home (not an uncommon situation that happens to widows in Cameroon). So faced with prostituting herself or learning a new trade while trying to care for her children she approached her pastor for help, who asked if we could take the children in. We said: “Absolutely”

Her birthdays is Jan 10, 2003.
They come from the remote village of Bambaji where they lived with their grandparents who were also caring for 3 other grandchildren. Both of their parents had died. They were unable to attend school and were malnourished. They had never seen "white" people up close and were a little nervous meeting Papa Tim at first. They had never been out of the village before and the trip to GTS was a big adventure for them. They were so excited when they learned that they would be attending school and eating 3 meals a day.
CLEOPHUS HONGWE
Her birthday is Jan 10, 2003.

EMMANUEL CHE
Emmanuel was 11 years old when social affairs brought him to GTS. He was orphaned as a result of the civil war. He is doing well at GTS and is now attending school
DANIEL NEBANETH
Daniel was born 12/30/2014 and was 6 days old when we rescued him. The compound where he lived with 4 adults was a 2 room mud block house (the indoor kitchen and one room where everyone lived). His mother was physically and mentally impaired, his grandfather was legally blind, his 2 Uncles were gone most of the day. They were already starting to feed him pop (a corn sugar water mixture). Although the grandfather cried when we came to rescue him, he was very happy because he knew Daniel would be well cared for. Daniel was already starting to show signs of dehydration (loose skin etc...). Last year he was first in his class at school. God is so faithful!
DIEUDONNE' TAH
(DOB: 7/10/2002)
His father died when he was very young. His mother is disabled, epileptic and is unable to care for her children. An old woman later took Dieudonne and his mother into her home, but she was not able to meet Dieudonne's needs so he came to live at GTS He is now in an apprentice program to become an auto mechanic. He is also hoping to attend bible school when they reopen after the civil war ends to become a pastor.

GRACE MANKA'A

Her mother is mentally ill and her father could not afford to take care of her needs. He decided to be a volunteer worker at GTS and brought her to the shelter. She was just 5 years old then. She is a lovely and very intelligent young woman. She is in nursing school. Grace loves the Lord and is growing in character every day. Pray that the Lord will lead he as she learns in nursing school and that the Lord will provide the resources for her to be able to develop her talents to the full.

His father died and his mother is an alcoholic and didn't care for him. He was brought to GTS when he was about 3 years old. He was not going to school and could speak no English. He is now in an apprentice program to become a carpenter and roofer. He is introverted and very quiet, but he loves spending time with his new brothers and sisters. Pray that he will continue to love the Lord with all of his heart, mind and strength,

Blessing came with her brother Ramson. Both of their parents were killed in the civil war. Social Affairs (the government agency that handles orphanages). They are both now in school and are adjusting to life at GTS. Pray for them to overcome all that has happened to them in their lives.
JONATHAN SUH (needs sponsor)

He was born into a family that practiced witchcraft. He suffered a lot from spiritual oppression in the night and sometimes he would be involved with offering sacrifices to deities that he was ignorant about. He was brought to GTS by his older brother in an attempt to save his life from such fetish practices. Jonathan has now received Jesus as his Lord and Savior and has been totally delivered from the works of darkness. Praise God!! He is studying to be a doctor (already helping in surgery). Pray that as Jonathan grows up he will become a distinguished leader and that his family will experience the light of God found in the gospel of Jesus Christ as they see the grace of God upon Jonathan's life.

Larissa is doing well in school and is showing great promise. She is so lively and interesting. Our prayer is that she grows up to fear the Lord and walk is His way.

He and his twin brother Lewis live at GTS. Both of Lestly's parents died and his grandmother who was taking care of him was struggling to feed him. He was not able to go to school. She brought him and his twin brother Lewis to GTS in hopes of giving them a chance for a better future

Mel was born in August 2018. He was a real answer to prayer as there were several losses before he was born. While Constance was giving birth there were bullets flying through the ceiling of the hospital. The fighting has gotten very bad in and around the orphanage property.

Mercy lives at GTS with her sister Blessing. Her parents died when she was still very young, and she started living with her very old grandmother. Her grandmother was very poor and was not able to meet the children's needs. Mercy is now in nursing school and is doing very well She is bold and friendly. She really enjoys her new home and friends at GTS. Pray that through God's guidance, she will continue in the grace of God and become a shining light in the lives of other children around her.

MOSES NEBA

Moses and his sister Patience live at GTS. His mother died when he was very young, and his father was not able to take care of him and his little sister. Both of them suffered malnutrition as a consequence of their father's poverty. They also could no longer go to school. Moses is in an apprentice program to be a welder. Pray that he continues in his walk with the Lord and for direction as he finishes his apprenticeship soon. Pray also that he grows to be an example to the other kids and that God's love will touch others through him
NOELLA NAYA

A couple of weeks before we rescued her 6-month-old brother died. We are grateful that other than her being malnourished and naked when we got her, she was healthy. She was living with her uncle after her mother and 4 of her siblings had died. She is really smart and adjusting well to her new family. It was a long time before we saw her smile. I think this is the first time we were able to get a picture of her beautiful smile.

Patience lives at GTS with her brother Moses. Her mother died when she was very young and her father was not able to take care of her and her older brother. Both of them suffered malnutrition as a consequence of their father's poverty. Patience also survived a fire accident when she was a baby. Now she is strong and healthy. She is a very smart young woman. Patience is in nursing school studying to be a midwife. She participates a lot in Bible classes and enjoys teaching God's Word to children. Pray that she would continue to love the work of God as she grows up and be able to share her faith with her friends in nursing school.

Perseverance lives at GTS with her sister Sonita. Her father died from AIDS and her mother was HIV positive when she and her 7 year old sister came to live at GTS. They have been ostracized by her mothers' family and in-laws. The mother was unable to care for her 2 children and we were asked if we could care for the children which we are happy to do. Perseverances' mother died shortly after she came to live at GTS.
